The world they are in looks like one I've left
I remember it fondly with some regret
Who I was just last year I don't recognize
As I'm slightly changed
With things I despise

The brain thieves are nightly taking their toll
And one day I'll forget what they have stole

I think I'm going to disappear
Wake up tomorrow and I won't be here
No I won't be here…

Now my skin has dents and creases that tear
I have trouble recalling what once was there

In the mirror I look at a ghost yet to come
It's taking shape but isn't quite done

Strangely it seems what I know has increased
Yet this knowledge new is hardly relief
