I’ve sunk into these cushions
Dipped in drink and woman
Pills are in my bloodstream
Draped across my vision

The room goes out of focus
I don’t really seem to mind
Tick tock goes my lifespan
Slipping into time

Feeling incandescent
In an Easter island way
Made friends with all my shadows
Invited them to stay

Now sleep is getting closer
I drag my dreams uphill
This bedroom is a minefield
The bombs don’t have their fill

Sneak along the ether
Tipped over on my side
Tomorrow is a promise
Of new ideas to hide
